I have until early wednesday to get it together...I usually have it all done by the 1st week of Feb. but I had a busy winter. I really want to photograph and paint so hopefully that will motivate me to get this finished with. Off I go....

I am so happy that I have been selected to work with "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep", as a volunteer to photograph and document the lives and deaths of newborns and their families that are only here for a very short time. Eleven years ago we were pregnant with identical twin girls. One died and the only proof I have of her life is the footprints, my memories and a really dark polaroid. Besides that, I hope my experience may lend some hope and comfort to another. I look forward to being of service.

I really should take pictures of it, but I am so tired! Ian did the most pro job on it. He built me a custom table tricked out the stairs...copper nails and all. He brought the drywall flush with the concrete no baseboard just like in the NY studio and he did all the concrete work..acid washed and treated it. The space feels so good I want to live in it. Then on top of it he built me white picket fences to enclose the yard so I can plant a proper English garden. I can proudly say there is no other space to match it on the planet and although it is only 800 sq. it is a mansion compared to my 320 sq. ft. I moved from. I am all ready to start shooting EXCEPT I have to finish my taxes. I have about another 20 hours on them and then off to the races. I am anxious to shoot and to begin creating in this space.

Today I move the studio.

Try to fix my site..fonts and stuff.

And now a little word about creative Liscense....

Somebody who couldn’t spell (like me) and who doesn’t know how to roll a sentence together left a rotten comment about BT's gun shoot. His sentence made no sense to me except that he thought it was disgusting. Anyhow, I thought it was disgusting he would say that on my blog. And although I was considering the content of the gun shoot to be a little over the top and maybe inappropriate for my blog ..It now will stay. NOONE tells me what I can or can’t shoot or what I may post on my site. I am too old and have worked too hard to find my creative voice to have anyone tell me how I will express or create art thank you very much! That’s all the splaynin I’m doin. Don’t worry Miguel the female nudes will be password protected so just in case you ever visit my site or blog again you won't be disgusted!!!!

Today I begin the process of moving my studio.

But first an hour ski with the 3 crazy dogs.

I am editing a slide show of John and Molly to enter in The Knot's Real Wedding Contest this week......

I took a photo trip. One week, to the Bay Area. Attended Mike Colon and Bob Davis's Master your craft..then shot 3 days in a row. Models I scouted in various places. I brought wordobe , did the make up and hair and hooked up the location. Most of the images are captured in camera. I enjoyed it so much because the models, Errin Casey and Jacob were all so nice and vibrant. Great personalities.
